Well, I am not sure when I was here last, but it wasn't too long ago. Things are the same... I gain easy, lose hard.... Who hasn't. LOL

I am coming up on my 1 year surgiversary --  10/28/08 -- was the big day.  I hover around 177, and I am ok with that.  I still see the fat me, but when I look at pictures I can see the difference.. but anyhow...

Some exciting news... Kevin and I entered our names in a drawing at a radio station outside of our Kroger and I get a call a couple weeks ago telling me I won....

What did I win you ask? I'll tell you.  I won : 4 tickets to the game, $50 in food concession money AND I got to go on the field and kick the football for $$ :)  For every yard I kicked I got $100.

Eddie Murray (#3 for the lions back in 1980) was my "coaching assistant" LOL. We hung out with him most the day, got lots of pics of it,... then Tom Cruise comes over :) I crap you not! He is just another guy to me, not star struck at all by him. Sorry... But he signed all our stuff, (so did eddie murray). Tom was nice and polite but small. OMG is he small.  I am taller then him and he is as big around as an average 13 yr old boy.

I also scored a free football (small one), hat, and they had me wear a Lions jersey that had the 3 on it, Pepsi on the back (sponser along with Kroger) and of course we had eddie murray sign it.   We were on the field for like 2-3 hours or so before I got to kick the ball... I was on the big ole LED board too (pics of it). I was hoping and trying to not throw up all day, nerves I tell ya!  But I kicked it 14 yards, so I won $1400.  WOO HOO!! I did better at home, but with all them people watching... just nervous...

Its so nice they did this, and I explained it to anyone who would listen and that was many... If I didn't have this surgery.... NONE of this would have happened. My knees would have been too bad to do it.  I told them that this is like winning the lotto, that we are both on disability and choose which bills to pay, stefaney's 16 th birthday coming up, we are looking for new housing and though I don't have the money yet, its still such GREAT timing...

I am proud of who I am and what I have done, but I thank God daily for giving me the chance to 1) have the surgery and 2) have a once in a lifetime event happen (lions game -- plus they won--but that was just a bonus :) )

have a good day and just wanted to share and remember to fill out them entry forms at radio stations, promo give aways... read the fine print though, as always, but people really do win from them ;)

Hi, stranger!  Hard to believe it's almost a been a year for you!! WOW!  SOunds you like you had a great time.  Didn't hurt to win a little money.  I know someone else who has seen Tom Cruise and was shocked by how small he is.  LOL!  We're so used to seeing them "larger than life".  Glad things are going well!  Tina
